Your Judgment Becomes You
The Energetic 411
Some of us grow up learning judgment as though it were a natural way of being.
We learn to judge ourselves. We learn to judge other people. We learn to scan the room, assess what everyone is doing, and silently decide who is right, who is wrong, who is too much, and who is not enough.
Our parents did it. Our siblings did it. Our extended families did it.
And because it was always around us, we never thought to question it.
We didn’t recognize judgment as a frequency.
We certainly didn’t understand what repeatedly living inside that frequency could do to the physical body.
But every thought carries energy—and the body is always listening.
When we judge another person, the thought doesn’t simply leave our mind, travel toward them, and disappear. It moves through our energetic field first.
We experience the frequency we create.
And when the judgment is directed inward, the impact becomes far more intimate.
Judgment of another reflects back to us.
Self-judgment hits us right at home.
It becomes the voice that tells us we should have known better.
We should have done more.
We should be further along.
We shouldn’t look like this, feel like this, want this, need this, or still be struggling with this.
The thought repeats. The frequency deepens. The body begins carrying what the mind has made a habit of creating.
Low-frequency self-talk and self-sabotaging thoughts are a sure way to tank your frequency and create a profound lack of ease within the body.
Depending on the emotional frequency the thought creates, we may experience it in different places. Fear may call our attention toward the kidneys. Grief may make itself known through the lungs. Persistent worry and anxiety may speak through the digestive system.
The body turns the internal conversation into a physical notification.
Not as punishment.
As communication.
The frequency of judgment is low, dense, and heavy. It often takes something that was never ours to manage and makes it our responsibility.
Someone else’s choices.
Someone else’s appearance.
Someone else’s relationship.
Someone else’s life.
We make a judgment, form an opinion, and attach ourselves energetically to something that may not be any of our business.
Now we’re carrying a weight that never belonged to us.
But self-judgment carries an even greater cost because there is no distance between the person creating the judgment and the person receiving it.
You become both the weapon and the wound.
Releasing judgment has become a constant practice for me.
When I first realized how much I judged myself and others, it was a huge wake-up call. Judgment came so naturally to me—and I had always been surrounded by it—that I never gave it much thought.
Until someone brought it to my attention.
And when they did, I felt it.
Not just emotionally.
Physically.
It felt heavy in my heart and deep in my gut because the awareness didn’t simply challenge something I was doing.
It challenged who I believed myself to be.
Yep, I come from a long line of judgers.
Judgment had been woven into the language, beliefs, relationships, and survival patterns of the women who came before me. It was so ingrained in my identity that separating myself from it felt like pulling apart threads I had mistaken for my own skin.
But awareness gave me a choice.
Once I could recognize the pattern, I could begin asking a more powerful question:
What is living underneath the judgment?
That question led me somewhere I didn’t expect.
Underneath the judgment, I found fear.
I found insecurity.
I found the need to protect myself by deciding what something meant before it had the chance to hurt me.
I found inherited patterns of minimization and limiting beliefs carried by generations of women in my ancestral line.
Women who learned to make themselves smaller.
Women who learned to question their desires.
Women who learned that judgment could keep them in line, keep them accepted, and perhaps even keep them safe.
What surprised me most was realizing that much of what I had been carrying wasn’t entirely mine.
I was born into it.
But being born into a pattern does not mean we are required to keep giving it a body.
Awareness is where the inheritance can begin to change.
Yet awareness alone does not automatically create a new way of being.
We can recognize the judgment. We can understand where it came from. We can even decide that we no longer want to carry it.
But then comes the real work:
How do we interrupt something that has become automatic?
We begin by giving our ordinary actions a new energetic direction.
The most powerful shifts do not always happen during an elaborate ritual, a lengthy meditation, or a perfectly curated spiritual practice. Sometimes they begin at the sink. In the shower. While washing your face. While brushing your teeth.
The action may be ordinary.
The intention changes its frequency.
Inside this week’s Physical Frequency Collective, I’m sharing The Physical Frequency of Intention—an experience designed to show you how the everyday tasks you already perform can become physical anchors for release, redirection, and energetic change.
You do not necessarily need another practice to fit into your day.
You may need to become intentional about what you are already doing.
Because judgment may be inherited.
The pattern may be familiar.
But neither one gets to determine the frequency you choose next.
The Physical Frequency of Intention is now inside The Physical Frequency Collective.
Come experience what changes when the ordinary becomes intentional—and your body becomes an active participant in the frequency you are creating.
